Carol C. Markman, CPA joined Feldman, Meinberg & Co. LLP in 2002 after more than 20 years in her own practice. She is a past President of the National Conference of CPA Practitioners where she previously chaired the organization’s Tax Policy Committee for three years. She is past treasurer of the Nassau Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals. She founded her CPA practice in 1981 and provided accounting and tax services to individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She was among the experts called on to testify before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee at a hearing on the Economic Growth and Tax Reconciliation Act of 2001 and was called to testify again in 2010 at the hearing on “The Future of Individual Tax Rates: Effects on Economic Growth and Distribution”.

A graduate of City College of New York, she earned a master’s degree in accounting in 1978 from the School of Professional Accountancy, C.W. Post Center Long Island University. She holds the Certificate of Educational Achievement Program in Business Valuation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has lectured extensively on topics related to divorce, valuation and taxes.

In addition to her affiliation with the National Conference of CPA Practitioners, she is the treasurer of Planned Parenthood of Nassau County.  She is a member of the AICPA, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSCCPA), and the Women Economic Developers of Long Island.
